Missed Calls to Booked Visits: 112 Patients Scheduled with Blue's Text-Back Agent

Indiana Sinus Centers used Blue's missed-call agent to convert unanswered calls into 112 scheduled patients.

May 7, 2026

WESTFIELD, Ind. — Indiana Sinus Centers scheduled 112 patients over one quarter using Blue's missed-call text-back agent, Nemedic reported.

The problem the agent addresses is well documented: a majority of patients who cannot get through to a practice hang up without leaving a voicemail, and most do not call again. They search for the next practice instead.

Blue's agent texts the caller within roughly a minute of an unanswered call, can read the voicemail if one was left, and offers a booking link.

Indiana Sinus Centers is the practice of Nemedic founder Bradford G. Bichey, MD, MPH, and serves as the company's initial testing environment for new agents.

"Those 112 patients were already trying to reach us," Dr. Bichey said. "We just were not there to pick up the phone."
