Nemedic Launches Precertify.ai to Help Surgeons Reduce Prior Authorization Denials

WESTFIELD, Ind. — Nemedic has launched Precertify.ai, an AI tool built to help surgeons address prior-authorization denials and produce documentation that satisfies payer criteria on the first submission.

The product grew directly out of published work. In July 2024, the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery Bulletin ran an invited article by Nemedic founder Bradford G. Bichey, MD, MPH, describing an AI-based method for mitigating prior-authorization denials, increasing first-pass approvals and reducing peer-to-peer reviews. Precertify.ai is that method, built into software.

"Denials are not usually a disagreement about medicine," Dr. Bichey said. "They are a disagreement about what got written down."

Nemedic has a U.S. patent application pending on Precertify.ai's prequalification and refined-note methods.
